Code of Conduct & Expectations
At Lyndhurst Girls Rec Volleyball, we are committed to creating a positive, respectful, instructional, and supportive environment for all players, families, coaches, and volunteers.

Participation in our program means agreeing to uphold the expectations below.
Coach & Volunteer Code of Conduct
Our coaches and volunteers are expected to lead by example.
Coaches & Volunteers Will:
Treat all players fairly and respectfully
Prioritize player development and safety
Promote sportsmanship and teamwork
Maintain a positive and instructional environment
Use constructive communication
Coaches & Volunteers Will Not:
Use demeaning language
Show favoritism
Engage in inappropriate behavior
Tolerate bullying or disrespectful conduct
Volunteer coaches and high school assistants are representatives of the program and are expected to model maturity, leadership, and professionalism.
Player Code of Conduct
Players are expected to:
Respect Teammates, Coaches, Officials, and Opponents
Use respectful language at all times
Demonstrate good sportsmanship before, during, and after games
Accept referee decisions respectfully
Demonstrate Effort and Teamwork
Attend practices ready to learn
Encourage teammates
Give full effort during drills, practices, and games
Maintain Positive Behavior
No bullying, teasing, or negative social media behavior
No inappropriate language or unsportsmanlike conduct
Follow gym and school facility rules
Represent the Program Positively
Players are ambassadors of Lyndhurst Girls Rec Volleyball both on and off the court.
Parent & Spectator Code of Conduct
Parents and spectators play a major role in creating a positive youth sports experience.
We Ask Parents To:
Encourage all players, not just your own child
Support coaches and volunteers
Model respectful behavior
Allow coaches to coach
Promote effort, learning, and sportsmanship over winning
Parents & Spectators Must Not:
Argue with referees
Coach from the sidelines
Use inappropriate language or gestures
Criticize players, coaches, or volunteers publicly
Engage in confrontational behavior with other spectators
Social Media Expectations
All players, parents, coaches, and volunteers are expected to:
Communicate respectfully online
Avoid negative comments about players, coaches, officials, or the program
Represent the program positively on social media
Bullying, harassment, or inappropriate online behavior may result in disciplinary action.
Attendance & Commitment Expectations
Players
Arrive on time and prepared
Notify coaches when unable to attend
Families
Communicate scheduling conflicts in advance when possible
Support consistent attendance to help team development
Disciplinary Action
Failure to follow the Code of Conduct may result in:
Verbal warning
Parent meeting
Suspension from practice or games
Removal from the program when necessary
The goal of any disciplinary action is to maintain a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all participants.
